For optional website analytics, we use PostHog's EU service only after you actively choose to accept analytics. Before consent, PostHog is not initialized and analytics events are not sent.

When analytics is enabled, we may process a sanitized page path, sanitized referrer, UTM campaign labels, browser and device information, country-level location, product area and language context, and an internal authentication identifier for signed-in users. If you separately accept analytics in another Polyglot World product, such as Pronunciation Lab, the same opaque authentication identifier may be used to connect your consented activity across those products. Anonymous browser identifiers are not shared across products. IP anonymization is enabled.

We do not send names, email addresses, lesson answers, writing samples, AI Teacher prompts or responses, voice transcripts, audio recordings, recording URLs, payment card data, or other free-text learner content to PostHog.

You can refuse analytics without losing access to the service. You can also withdraw or renew your choice at any time using Analytics preferences in the footer. We ask you to renew the analytics choice after no more than six months.

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

If you are located in the European Union or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy rights, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Object to or restrict certain processing

Polyglot World is an educational platform intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by applicable law without appropriate parental or legal guardian consent where required.
